1972 Williams LINE DRIVE Baseball Machine Works Great! (Pick-Up in Indy)
1972 Williams LINE DRIVE baseball machine. Baseball machines like LINE DRIVE were once a summertime staple in every arcade, especially on the east and west coasts, but they’ve become nearly extinct in the last 45 years. LINE DRIVE was one of the last EM (electromechanical) baseball games produced, and it included the popular “base running men” in the backbox. This backbox animation makes the game almost as much fun to watch as it is to play. This game is in very good condition overall. All of the parts on the machine are original, down to the manual and schematic which are included with the game – there are no reproduction parts here. The backglass is in very good condition, although the red paint has flaked off a bit, as it has on many of these games. New reproduction backglasses are available from several sources. The playfield is in good condition overall. There’s a bit of wear around the batting area, although again, that’s a result of nearly a half century of normal use. The game uses a solid state sound system which includes cheers, clapping, and even boos, and the sound system operates as it should. The cabinet is in very good condition especially for its age, with a few scuffs on both sides of the cabinet but no graffiti or gouges. All locks and keys are present. Manual and schematic are included. A couple of trivia facts. This is the same LINE DRIVE machine that is pictured on the cover of the 1990 book Slot Machines & Coin-Op Games. This is fun pitch & bat game. These games are getting harder and harder to find. This one is in the process of restoration. Last electromechanical baseball game by Williams. Pitching magnet to allow different types of pitches. Adjustable bat strength dial inside coin door. 3 different electronic sound boards for fun, continuous excitement. Animated backglass with players running around the bases. The outside cabinet artwork has been repaired and touched up/repainted as needed. Playfield has been cleaned and polished. Metal pitch and bat buttons have been removed and polished. The paddles in the outfield that the ball hits for scoring have new artwork on them. The side rails and coin door were cleaned and polished. The legs have been cleaned and polished. New leg adjusters and leg bolts have been added. New fluorescent bulb is installed. Back side of backglass red color has been airbrushed back in. New power cord has been installed for safety. LED lights have been installed. Game plays faster than most and works 100%. Here is a complete ground up restored baseball arcade game from the 70’s. It is the very popular Williams Line Drive Game that features Two players can play in competition. You have electronic fireworks and sounds go off when you hit a home run. You can also score up to 3 extra innings when you hit grand slam home runs and beat the high scores. Very fun game to play by yourself or with a friend. The game was stripped down and the cabinet was glued, primed and painted in these custom colors and original. All the metal was chromed with a clearcoat gloss finish. New custom back glass made along with all new pitch and bat parts. All mechanics are gone thru and up dated. Plays better than brand new. 1966 Williams Hot Line Pinball Machine! Fully Shopped And Ready To Play! MINTY
Here is our rare 1966 Williams Hot Line pinball machine. This machine started its life in the family bowling alley but has lived in a first floor game room for the last 45+ years in our non-smoking, pet-free home. Its in great shape, always maintained and waxed, and we just put on new playfield rubbers and rebuilt flipper assemblies with the proper coils and bushings, as their action was getting a bit weak after 52 years! Backglass is near mint as is the playfield, though it does show light wear commensurate with its age. This machine plays great with quick action and is lots of fun. In fact, it is number 7 on Pinsides top 100 Electromechanical games. This would make a great gift for the holidays and or an excellent addition to a collection.
