Key features and originality highlights: Early, low-value scoring style: Playfield uses a simpler 100/300/500 point structure with a single center 1000 point pocket, rather than the escalated multi-tier scoring (jackpot values in the thousands) seen on later trade stimulators from this category. This is consistent with an earlier production era, before scoring values were inflated industry-wide. Manufacturers labeled skill games this way to distinguish them legally from payout gambling devices, a common and important practice in the trade stimulator category during the 1930s. This detail is consistent with, and helps support, the early production dating of this piece Original cabinet paint: Green top and case finish shows honest, consistent age-appropriate oxidation and wear, with single-layer paint loss down to bare wood in worn areas (no repaint layers detected). This 1963 Midway Manufacturing Co. Raceway Pinball Machine has been completely gone through by John Costa at Drop-A-Coin Repair in Houston, TX. Sounds is loud and the volume knob works. Comes with all 4 legs and original cable. All the lights light up, the bumpers vibrate and when the pinball hits certain bumpers the sound changes. The score board works. High scores are manually set. Comes with original box/insert/Styrofoam. The box is in good shape but does have corner and edge ware. The only big issue is that the entire clear plastic screen is scratched and scuffed up pretty good. Hard to full show it in pictures. Still can clearly see the game but for collectors looking for mint this isnt for you.
