This game was manufactured in 1999 by Stern Pinball. Stern bought Sega in 1999, during the production run so you will see this listed as either Sega or Stern. It has both names in different areas of the game, but is considered to be a Stern game. This is the 1. Edition of 3 that Stern made, each being slightly different with artwork or trim, but all have the same layout, same ruleset, and same game-play. This game has many notable features, such as a Harley that does wheelies and moves up and down and catches and spits out balls, 4 pop bumpers, 8 drop targets, a shaker motor, and several multi-ball modes. Music sound tracks include Steppenwolf’s “Born to be Wild”, and George Thorogood’s “Bad to the Bone”. Harley Davidson is one of the most iconic, loved, cherished and best themes ever; especially if you ride. A very fun and challenging game that would be, without a doubt, the centerpiece of your garage, game room or man-cave. A fun and challenging game that is easy and fun to play. Overall, I would consider this game to be in near perfect collector quality condition, with very very minor cosmetic issues. I was told by the prior owner (a collector) when I got it that it was never on route or in an arcade and it is Home Use Only. A serious collector piece, no noticeable wear around the flipper buttons this is the tell tell signs of Home Use Only vs. Routed games of this era. The machine is very clean, and needs nothing, but I will still shop it out and will make sure you receive it in perfect working order, playfield cleaned, new rubber rings installed, I’ll check to make sure all lights are working, and will replace a single broken target (the “V” target). Game will come with locks and keys. All circuit boards were fully tested and are in full working original condition. The 128×32 DMD Display is bright with no bad segments, and the sound is crystal clear. In addition, this game has been upgraded with Pinitech NVRAM, which forever eliminates the need to ever change CPU board mounted batteries ever again, and more importantly, will prevent future CPU damage from leaky batteries. Cabinet is in very near perfect original condition. It has been never been drilled for a lockdown bar, no cabinet damage, no smoky bar aroma. The playfield is in excellent condition, the only slight thing I want to point out is that the Mylar has slightly worn through from balls ejecting from the “Next City” vertical up kicker (over the helmet graphic), but has not damaged the playfield. I will be cleaning this up and placing another piece of Mylar to prevent wear. The ramp is in perfect condition, light use and no cracking or chipping at all. The trans-light has great color with no flaking, and the coin door is in perfect original condition. Overall a Great Collector Quality Machine and in perfect working order with NVRAM upgrades! The perfect addition for your shop, garage or (wo)man cave.
