NICE 1958 Williams SOCCER KICK-OFF pinball machine Shopped LED’ed Ships FREE

This is a fully working, fully shopped, Williams Soccer Kick-off pinball game. According to the internet, this was a modification of Williams “Kick-Off” pinball, likely made for export. (Since other countries don’t play our football, but do play soccer). Everything on the game is working perfectly. We tested every single switch, light bulb, solenoid, stepup, etc. And everything is fully working. We installed new top-quality LED bulbs in the game so the lights are brighter, more colorful (tastefully), and should never burn out. Also, I installed a new cord and new balls. I went through this game tediously and made sure everything was working smoothly and correctly. I had to replace a few coils and lubricate a bunch of things. But I was able to get everything 100%. The game has new balls and locks. It plays great and is a fun game. I have to say that I kind of fell in love with this game when working on it. I gained a lot of respect for Harry Williams, the founder of Williams Electronics. He designed this game and it is truly a clever and fun game to play. I talk about it in my video below. For 1959, this is a surprisingly fun and challenging game to play. I’m also really impressed with the engineering for this game. The fact that it has the ability to count the player’s score, the blue team and the red teams’ scores individually, and also keep track of the football back and forth on the playfield is quite impressive considering everything had to be done mechanically using relays and solenoids. Williams was really a genius. Here is a video showing the game playing. CONDITION and RATINGS for THIS SPECIFIC MACHINE. This cosmetic condition of this Soccer Kick-Off is remarkably good for its age. The playfield has a fair amount of wear. It still plays just fine, but the paint is worn off in some areas. The plastics are the worst part on this game. Plastic stuff made in the 1950s probably wasn’t intended to last 70 years. You can tell that these plastics just broke down and are not the same texture or condition they were when new. Fortunately, something is still holding them together and they are doing the job, and you can even make out the art on them, but they just are kind of shrivelling or something. I don’t know how to describe it. The backglass fortunately still has most of its paint intact in the center where all the art is. But around the edges, the paint is flaking and has flaked significantly in some places. Still very presentable though in my humble opinion. The legs are the original powder coated colored legs, and are in excellent condition! The ball trough cover is wooden and in excellent condition. The game has an unoriginal back door with lock and key. The cabinet is in very good condition. Not water damaged or any major other damage. But it is faded in color. When we shop a pinball machine, here is what that includes. 1 Removed most everything from the playfield. 2 Clean, wax, and polish entire playing surface. 3 Replace all above-playfield light bulbs with new LED bulbs. 4 Replace all below-playfield light bulbs with new LED matching colored bulbs. 5 Replace all rubbers with new ones. 6 Re-install all above playfield plastics and hardware after thorough cleaning. Make sure all features of pinball are working properly. 8 Scrub, clean, and touch up cabinet to the best of our limited ability. Install new ball(s). There are probably a few other things we do, but that’s the gist of it. This game is located in sunny, beautiful downtown McLean, IL 61754. Aerosmith Premium Edition pinball machine by Stern. Used in a private home since new very low plays 425. Cabinet corners have been repaired and reglued as this era machine is known to need repair Game is completely gone through by Orange County Pinballs, a full service pinball shop. Game goes through a rigorous refurbishment process and service checklist by professional pinball technicians to make sure it is 100% fully operational and looks great! All electronic boards are inspected, serviced, repaired and any burnt connectors replaced. Fuses are checked and correct fuse values installed (safety issue to prevent damage to the game or a fire). Cabinet vacuumed, outside of cabinet cleaned and inspected for any issues. Playfield is stripped down and all plastics, ramps and mechanisms are cleaned and the playfield is polished. If the game has plastic ramps they are flame polished to restore clarity and appearance. Flippers are rebuilt with new plungers, links and coil stops to ensure the strongest possible flippers. All rubber rings are replaced and all new lightbulbs installed. All switches are checked, adjusted or replaced. All coils and mechanisms are checked, adjusted or replaced. New sheet of tempered playfield glass. Locks with keys for full access inside the machine.

Only 675 produced so a fairly rare game. The game plays great and as it should. All steppers have been cleaned and worked properly. I just rebuilt all four flippers, installed Titan red silicone rubbers and Mitchell Lighting warm white glass LEDs in the GI. Incandescent are still in the inserts and back box. Back-glass presents well, but does have some wear. Playfield has wear which doesn’t affect game play. The cabinet bottom has been replaced at some point and isn’t pretty, but structurally fine. Waxed up playfield and 100% operational. Located 50 miles north of Boston. Local meet-up available.
