Elton John CAPTAIN FANTASTIC pinball machine by Bally, c. Captain Fantastic is an arcade pinball machine designed by Greg Kmiec and produced by Bally in 1976. A semi-sequel to Ballys earlier Wizard! And named after the chart-topping album by Elton John, it features John dressed as the Local Lad from the rock opera movie Tommy. The games vibrant artwork, relatively easy gameplay, and Elton Johns popularity made it one of the most popular pinball machines ever. Pinball enthusiasts consider it one of the iconic machines of the 70s. Well-preserved for its age. The mechanicals of the unit were professionally restored when it was added to our personal collection about 15 years. This Spring we had the unit serviced and tested by a pinball professional. This playfield shows light wear and the cabinet has a few scuffs but overall the unit presents nicely and plays great. A bound copy of the original Instruction Manual and recent servicing documentation and keys included. Local pick in Lake Forest, IL 60045. GREAT CALLOUTS FROM ALL YOUR SIMPSONS FAVORITES INCLUDING: MARGE, LISA, HOMER, BART, ABU AND NED FLANDERS. THIS PIN EVEN HAS THE ICONIC SIMPSONS COUCH AND AN UPPER PLAYFIELD. YOU LIKE BART WELL GREAT CAUSE THERE IS A FIGURE OF HIM ON THE PLAYFIELD ALONG WITH HOMERS GIANT HEAD AND THE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT. ITCHY AND SCRATCHY AND THE COMIC BOOK GUY JOIN THE PARTY AS WELL. IF YOU WERE LOOKING FOR A NICE EXAMPLE OF THIS PIN LOOK NO FURTHER. THIS GAME WAS TRADED IN ON A NEW MACHINE WAS WELL KEPT AND LIGHTLY PLAYED BY ITS ORIGINAL OWNER. FOR A 16 YEAR OLD PIN IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. THIS GAME WAS STRIPPED DOWN AND CLEANED AND WAXED WITH ALL NEW LED BULBS INSTALLED. EVERYTHING PLAYS AND WORKS AS IT SHOULD WITH NO ERRORS. THE PLAYFIELD LOOKS FABULOUS WITH THE LEDS INSTALLED AND ONLY EXHIBITS VERY MINOR WEAR. THESE PLAYFIELDS ARE OFTEN VERY WORN FROM PLAY BUT NOT THIS BABY. THIS IS A HOME USE ONLY WELL KEPT MACHINE AND IT SHOWS. THE CABINET IS A VERY NICE EXAMPLE AS WELL WITH NICE BRIGHT ORIGINAL COLORS, NOT THE USUAL FADE, AND ONE HAS TO LOOK LONG AND HARD TO FIND ANY WEAR. LOLLIPOP PROTECTORS WERE PUT ON BY THE ORIGINAL OWNER TO INSURE A SOLID CAB FOR YEARS TO COME. THE GAME PLAY IS AWESOME WITH A 3 AND 5 BALL MUTLIBALL, A GARAGE DOOR BALL LOCK, A CHALLENGING UPPER PLAYFIELD, SEVERAL DROP TARGETS, ITCHY AND SCRATCHY HOLE AND JUST PLAIN FUN FUN FUN. Desirable 4 player Captain Fantastic pinball machine by Bally. Game is completely gone through by Orange County Pinballs, a full service pinball shop. Game goes through a rigorous refurbishment process and service checklist by professional pinball technicians to make sure it is 100% fully operational and looks great! All electronic boards are inspected, serviced, repaired and any burnt connectors replaced. Fuses are checked and correct fuse values installed (safety issue to prevent damage to the game or a fire). Cabinet vacuumed, outside of cabinet cleaned and inspected for any issues. Playfield is stripped down and all plastics, ramps and mechanisms are cleaned and the playfield is polished. If the game has plastic ramps they are flame polished to restore clarity and appearance. Flippers are rebuilt with new plungers, links and coil stops to ensure the strongest possible flippers. All rubber rings are replaced and all new lightbulbs installed. All switches are checked, adjusted or replaced. All coils and mechanisms are checked, adjusted or replaced. New sheet of tempered playfield glass. Locks with keys for full access inside the machine. Also the location must be tractor trailer accessible. 1976 Bally Captain Fantastic Pinball Machine

1976 Bally Captain Fantastic Pinball Machine. This is a machine I bought to restore and didnt quite finish. Its assembled and general illumination comes on. The back glass is pristine. I restored the artwork on the playfield and put a urethan polished finish on it. Its in excellent condition. Cabinet is as one would expect, some fading, some flaking. Legs are restored as well. All plastics are original and polished. New rubber and all LED bulbs(mostly). Included are a ton of spare parts, reproduction parts, as well as an entire playfield wiring harness with switches and solenoids attached(see pics). 30 or so Bally lane guides. Original manual and play cards. If you are looking for a good EM machine and are inclined to do some work to troubleshoot the machine to work this is a good one.
