1975 Bally Flicker Full Size Pinball Coin Operated Arcade Game Estate Find As-is

1975 BALLY FLICKER FULL SIZE PINBALL COIN OP GAME. Flicker is an interesting game from Bally. One thing that made it even more interesting, is that this was the first game that was converted from electromechanical to solid state. There’s a story about this test SS game floating out there on the interwebs. A very challenging layout that essentially cuts to play field in half. Similar to many games that we see today like creature from the Black lagoon or the Black Knight sword of rage. If you miss a shot, you’re in trouble and those out lanes are very hungry. Shooting for the ABCD targets on the sides is a dangerous necessity for big scores on this game. Double bonus is huge, and this reminds me of a number of different designs that show this feature both new and old. Jim Patla is a great designer trained under the watchful eye of Master Zale. The cadence of the bonus count makes me do the happy pinball dance. Some of the actors featured are Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, WC Fields, Mae West, Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, James Cagney, Bela Lagossi, Lon Chaney, Errol Flynn, Edward G. Robinson and many more. CUTE 1974 Chicago Coin SHOWTIME pinball machine Shopped LED’ed FREE SHIPPING

This is a fully working, fully shopped Showtime pinball game. We have fully shopped it and replaced all of the rubber bands with new ones. We have also replaced all of the light bulbs with new LEDs. We used a very tasteful choice of warm light in most places, and cool light to light up the scores to keep an older, classic yet vibrant look. Every single bulb, switch, coil, target, bell, etc is working great. The game has new balls and original locks. It has quarter coin mechs but it has been modified (slightly) to be on “Free Play” so that you don’t need to drop coins or open the door and trigger switches in order to play in your home. If you want to use this in a coin operated setting, let me know after the sale and I will change it back and make sure the coin / credit system is set to function well for you. Here is a video I took showing that this pinball is fully working. CONDITION and RATINGS for THIS SPECIFIC MACHINE. This cosmetic condition of this Showtime pinball is excellent. It is not perfect, but quite good for something built almost 50 years ago. The playfield has only the tiniest spots of wear on it in a few spots. Otherwise the paint is all intact and still as vibrant as the day it rolled off the line. The plastics seem perfect to me – I couldn’t find any flaws. The cabinet has one spot on the back corner of the head where the wood chipped and was touched up (very minor and almost unnoticeable). Otherwise, the cabinet is solid and in great condition. The paint has been touched up and it just looks great. It has a little bit of a tan light stained look on the sides, but I bet that would scrub off to be pure white with some elbow grease. I like the slight patina myself so I didn’t work too hard on it. The backglass looks really great to the casual player’s glance. Gorgeous, vibrant artwork and very few flaws. Upon close inspection, you will see that there is a small section at the bottom where the paint is starting to lift/flake, as well as a few tiny spots where the paint has flaked in the upper section. But none of this stands out when not looking for flaws. If you need any more pictures or have any questions, please let me know – I’m happy to answer. PLAYFIELD PLASTICS: 9.5/10. COIN DOOR: 8.5/10. STANDARD GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ELECTRO-MECHANICAL PINBALL SHOPPING. When we shop an electro-mechanical pinball, here is what that includes. 1 Removed most everything from the playfield. 2 Clean, wax, and polish entire playing surface. 3 Replace all above-playfield light bulbs with new LED bulbs. 4 Replace all below-playfield light bulbs with new LED matching colored bulbs. 5 Replace all rubbers with new ones. 6 Re-install all above playfield plastics and hardware after thorough cleaning. 7 Remove backglass, replace all bulbs with LEDs. 8 Carefully clean all score reels and make sure switches are properly cleaned and working. 9 Make sure all features of pinball are working properly. 10 Scrub, clean, and touch up cabinet to the best of our limited ability. 11 Install new lock on front door. 12 Install new ball(s).
