1978 Bally Playboy pinball machine! This game has been fully shopped and serviced by our service department with a complete tear-down and inspection before being rebuilt and upgraded. Three of the main boards have been replaced (MPU, lamp driver, solenoid driver). New legs, bolts, levelers, new rubbers, and all bulbs have been replaced with LED. Playfield and plastics are very clean. Very clean original condition. Game is free play only, as someone had stolen the coin chute, coin mech, and coin switches. Does not impact game play for home use. Doc Pinball has been in the coin-op business since 1982 and electronics business since 1977. We offer tune-up and full-scale restorations on arcade games and pinball machines. THIS IS JUST NOT ANOTHER 1978 PLAYBOY. THIS IS A REALLY REALLY NICE ORIGINAL. THIS GAME HAS THE FOLLOWING DONE TO IT. PLAYFIELD STRIPPED DOWN AND CLEANED. NEW LEDS BULBS AND RUBBERS INSTALLED. OVER 30 HOURS BY OUR TECHS MAKING SURE GAME PLAYS AS IT SHOULD. NEW ALTEK MPU BOARD INSTALLED. NEW NI WUMPH SOUND BOARD INSTALLED. GAME PLAYED EXTENSIVELY TO INSURE IT IS BULLET PROOF. THIS IS SIMPLY AN AWESOME ORIGINAL. THESE GAMES USUALLY SHOW A TON OF USE AND WEAR BUT NOT THIS MACHINE. THE PLAYFIELD ON THIS PIN LOOKS SWEET. AFTER MY TECHS STRIPPED DOWN AND CLEANED THE PLAYFIELD IT LOOKED GOOD. THEN THEY INSTALLED NEW LED BULBS AND THIS THING JUST SPRUNG BACK TO LIFE. THE PLAYFIELDS ON THESE GAMES ARE OFTEN BLOWN OUT. THIS ONE IS A NICE EXAMPLE WITH MINOR WEAR IN SPOTS, BUT BY NO MEANS THE TYPICAL WEAR OFTEN FOUND ON 41 YEAR OLD PINS. THE CABINET IS A NICE ORIGINAL AND DISPLAYS STRONG VIBRANT ORIGINAL PINK AND BLACK COLORS. THE CABINET DOES HAVE NICKS AND SCRATCHES NORMALLY SEEN ON A 41 YEAR OLD PIN. THE GAME PLAYS AS IT SHOULD WITH NO ERRORS, AS MY TECHS SPENT HOURS TO INSURE THIS GAME WOULD PLAY THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED TOO. AS MENTIONED WE HAVE INSTALLED A NEW ALTEK MASTER MPU BOARD AND NEW SOUND BOARD TO INSURE TROUBLE FREE GAME PLAY. THE BACKGLASS IS A VERY NICE ORIGINAL WITH BRIGHT COLORS AND ONLY MINOR IMPERFECTIONS AT THE BOTTOM. THE DISPLAYS ARE ALL STRONG AND VIBRANT. THE 2 MOST IMPORTANT PARTS ON THIS PIN ARE THE PLAYFIELD AND THE BACK GLASS, AND ON THIS MACHINE YOU HAVE 2 NICE ORIGINALS. IF YOU WERE LOOKING FOR A NICE ORIGINAL PLAYBOY WITH LEDS THAT LOOKS THE PART AND PLAYS EVEN BETTER THEN THIS IS THE PIN FOR YOU. Stern Playboy Pinball Machine

Here is a great playing, Rare Stern Playboy. The machine has recently been completely shopped – all LED conversion, new rubbers, added lots of new lights to brighten play field, drain lights, new glass, new play field protector, NVRAM to remove batteries, new curtain chains, polished ramps slides, etc. Also installed the nude photo pack (but have the complete set of PG, and PG-13 inserts), I installed an alternate translight to ditch that awful cartoon one (original one is included). New flipper assemblies, new ball launch, and gold powder coated hardware. The machine plays wonderful, and is a lot of fun. One thing about it, It has a funky line that lights up vertically in the DMD, but is completely readable and you can hardly notice at all. Would trade this machine for like valued machines. 1978 Bally Playboy Pinball Machine

We are having a run on these Bally Playboys. This is our fourth Playboy in the last 4 months offered up for sale. This one is a fresh trade in from a very nice home. I would rate the whole machine at an 8 out of 10. The back glass is a 9 and we sealed it. The playfield has 3 small wear spots around the drop targets and most of the playfield has Mylar on it. The cabinet is all original, no touch ups, not all that bad for a 40 year old playmate. Somewhere along its life, someone glued 2 original keys to a Playboy club or hotel on the apron. We cleaned and waxed the playfield, new bulbs where needed, new rubbers, new lock and key and new leg levelers. Game still has full coin. With a replaced MPU board, battery adapter, rubber bouncers, new solenoid and fuses, pull lever assembly, and bulbs; this machine works like new! The backglass, the centerpiece of this wonderful collectors item, is in fantastic condition. While, there are minor cosmetic flaws throughout, this machine is in great condition considering its age. Comes with additional fuses, the original owners manual, the replacement MPU manual, and keys. The item is also posted on craigslist and more pictures are available there. Playboy 35th Anniversary Pinball Machine by Data East here now and ready to enjoy. Game is completely gone through by Orange County Pinballs, a full service pinball shop. Game goes through a rigorous refurbishment process and service checklist by professional pinball technicians to make sure it is 100% fully operational and looks great! All electronic boards are inspected, serviced, repaired and any burnt connectors replaced. Fuses are checked and correct fuse values installed (safety issue to prevent damage to the game or a fire). Cabinet vacuumed, outside of cabinet cleaned and inspected for any issues. Playfield is stripped down and all plastics, ramps and mechanisms are cleaned and the playfield is polished. If the game has plastic ramps they are flame polished to restore clarity and appearance. Flippers are rebuilt with new plungers, links and coil stops to ensure the strongest possible flippers. All rubber rings are replaced and all new lightbulbs installed. All switches are checked, adjusted or replaced. All coils and mechanisms are checked, adjusted or replaced. New sheet of tempered playfield glass. Locks with keys for full access inside the machine. Also the location must be tractor trailer accessible.
