Bugs Bunny’s Birthday Ball is a pinball machine released by Midway (under the Bally name) in December 1990. Designed by John Trudeau with artwork by Python Anghelo and John Youssi, this game celebrates Bugs Bunny’s 50th anniversary and features a host of beloved Looney Tunes characters. Theme and Design: The game is themed around a grand birthday celebration for Bugs Bunny, incorporating various Looney Tunes characters such as Daffy Duck, Tweety Bird, and the Tasmanian Devil. The artwork is colorful and cartoonish, capturing the whimsical spirit of the Looney Tunes universe. The backglass and playfield are filled with vibrant images of the characters and birthday festivities. Flippers: Three flippers, including one on a small inverted playfield in the upper left area. Targets and Ramps: Features 19 standup targets, a 3-bank drop target, a kick-out hole, a spinning target, and a captive ball. Pop Bumpers and Slingshots: Three pop bumpers and three slingshots add to the action. Skill Shot: Players can use the plunger to help Wile E. Coyote chase the Road Runner, among other themed challenges. Multiplayer Feature: A unique playfield award feature exchanges scores between players during multiplayer games. Chicken Coop: An inverted playfield where players can break eggs to score points. Tweety’s Slide: A ramp that players can shoot to score big points. Tazmanian Shopping Spree: A mode where players can score up to 500,000 points or earn an extra ball by shooting the center ramp. Production and Popularity: Approximately 2,250 units of Bugs Bunny’s Birthday Ball were produced, making it a relatively rare machine. Its combination of engaging gameplay, beloved characters, and vibrant artwork has made it a favorite among collectors and fans of the Looney Tunes. All pinball machines listed are currently IN STOCK and ready to sell. All you have to do is ask! We thoroughly prepare all of our machines before the sale. Clean and wax the playfields. Clean and polish all plastics and ramps. Test and replace bulbs where needed. Install new rubbers as needed. Check and re-seat all board connectors. Check all game functions and switches. We can also totally “shop” the game for an extra charge. Please be aware that some of our games have seen commercial use and as such have markings that come along with that environment.
