THIS IS THE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER SPACE INVADERS PINBALL MACHINE. MY INCREDIBLE TEAM HAS DONE AN AMAZING JOB RESTORING THIS MACHINE. WE TORE DOWN THE PLAYFIELD, CLEANED AND WAXED EVERYTHING, INSTALLED LED LIGHTS, AND NEW RUBBERS. TAKE A LOOK AT THE PLAYFIELD WITH THE LED LIGHTS AND MAN IT LOOKS COOL. THE PLAYFIELD IS A VERY NICE EXAMPLE WITH MINOR WEAR IN SPOTS. THESE GAMES WERE HIGHLY PLAYED AND OFTEN HAVE BLOWN OUT PLAYFIELDS BUT NOT THIS BABY. THIS MACHINE WAS KEPT IN A PRIVATE COLLECTION FOR YEARS AND IT SHOWS. THE BACKGLASS IS A STUNNING EXAMPLE, LOOKS AMAZING WITH THE LEDS INSTALLED AND HAS ONLY MINOR IMPERFECTIONS. WE INSTALLED BRAND NEW LEDS DISPLAYS AND A BRAND NEW ALTEK MASTER BOARD TO INSURE YEARS OF TROUBLE FREE GAME PLAY. THE GAME PLAYS AS IT SHOULD WITH NO ERRORS AND DAMN IT PLAYS GREAT. THE CABINET HAS DESCENT ORIGINAL COLORS AND THE NORMAL NICKS AND SCRATCHES FOR A 40 YEAR OLD PIN. I PLAYFED THIS GAME OVER AND OVER IN THE ARCADE AND IT IS PLAIN FUN. 4 FLIPPERS, A REALLY COOL HORSESHOE SHOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PLAYFIELD, 3 POP BUMPERS AND 6 STAND UP TARGETS MAKE THIS GAME A BLAST. IF YOU WERE LOOKING FOR AN AMAZING LOOKING AND PLAYING EXAMPLE OF THIS GAME WITH A NICE PLAYFIELD, A NICER BACKGLASS, A NEW MASTER BOARD AND A NEW SET OF LED DISPLAYS THEN DO NOT MISS THIS ONE. Space Invaders pinball machine! 1980 -Widebody game, made by Bally

A superb example of Ballys 1980 Space Invaders is being offered up for sale. The game plays exactly as intended. The sound works great and the cabinet is in good overall condition. Aside from a few lights that are out, the game runs perfect. We replaced the MPU board a few years ago as well as some of the rubber rings, all other parts are original. Backglass is near perfect and Playfield shows minimal wear. Game is set up and ready to be played/tested. In 1980, Bally released a pinball version of the original 1978 Video game of the same name becoming the first pinball to be based on a video game. Bally’s video game division, Midway, had licensed Space Invaders from Taito in Japan, and decided to capitalize on the machine’s incredible success by using it as a theme for a pinball. However, few elements from the original game, except for the sounds and front case artwork, were included in the pinball game. The artwork instead resembled the xenomorphs from the 1979 film “Alien”. Bally was sued over the game’s artwork resemblance to designs by H. In fact, they ended up stopping production of the game early due to pending lawsuits, although 11,400 machines were still produced.
