This is a wonderfully restored example of High Speed that literally saved Pinball. There is no more important machine than High Speen in 1986 designed by Steve Ritchie to combat the video game wars of 1983. Revitalization of the Pinball Industry. High Speed, along with other games like PinBot. Played a crucial role in reviving the pinball industry, which had become stagnant due to the video game crash of 1983. Firsts in Pinball Design. High Speed was the first Williams pinball game. To utilize alpha-numeric displays. It introduced the first diverter in a pinball machine. “Kick-Big” (kicker and scoop). High Speed featured the first “Kick-Big” (kicker and scoop) in a pinball machine. It was the first game to include a “Jackpot” during multiball. High Speed was the first game to incorporate flow with ramp shots. Loop Shots with Incrementing Awards. It was the first game to reward loop shots with incrementing awards. Initial Entry for High Scores. Players could enter their initials for high scores for the first time. High Speed introduced the first game with a bad switch alert. It was the first game to use Auto Percentaging for replay scores. Almost everything about this game is new, has been polished and or tweaked for perfect performance. I have a history of delivering what I advertise and this is certainly no exception. My feedback is stellar. New dumbass pinball boards (CPU / power driver boards). New speakers in the backbox and subwoofer. New screened backglass. New plastics set. New LEDs scoring displays with alternating blue/red colors mimicing police lights.
