If the game has plastic ramps they are flame polished to restore clarity and appearance. Flippers are rebuilt with new plungers, links and coil stops to ensure the strongest possible flippers. The cabinet long ago having been repainted this Williams 1963 “Major League, Grand Slam” pitch and bat machine was in working order when put in storage years ago and was recently removed from storage. Powers up and on hitting play button machine step motor functions, solenoids cycle, hit targets set, score reels return to start, action player circles bases and game over out count zeros to start of game position. However, the “Target motor” continuously cycles and will not reach a stop position to allow game to be played. Manually hit testing type of hit has player accurately run bases, bell sounds on each home run and score reels advance. Fix might be minor but is beyond my knowledge. In good condition are the bat and pitch actions, individual players, the play field, running player background, operational base runner unit and back glass with minor tint touch up painting. With schematic, coin/back cover keys and two spare bats. Please check photos for overall machine condition, our feedback and other posts. 1976 Williams Grand Prix Pinball. Sorry I didn’t take a picture before starting to disassemble. Here’s the history on this machine. I restored this pinball about 15 years ago. It was used occasionally in the home for about 4 years. Then it was moved to a bonus room and sat unused. So LOTS of contacts need cleaning and a new rubber kit. The restore was a full tear down / reassemble. Both cabinets were completely repainted using stencils. Play field was stripped and clear coated. Back glass was sealed. Any worn pivots, solenoids, links, etc were replaced. Set on free play but coin acceptors are fully intact. Machined played like new. 100s of hours of work. It’s not perfect, but it’s in very good condition for a 45 year old pinball. There are not a lot of these EM machines left anymore. I have covered it all in cardboard, plastic, and shrink wrap. Back glass is in a custom wood crate. Sale is as is. The body and back cabinet are on a custom dolly to facilitate. Grand Prix Pinball Machine. This machine was designed and built by Williams in 1976. The city displayed on the backglass is the Principality of Monaco. Obviously famous for its appearance in the Formula 1. Schedule, and we’ll known for its in town Grand Prix and for having one of the most challenging races of the year with very little in the way of run off areas. The backglass also shows the harbor area known as the “S” of the swimming pool just before where cars have to sharp-turn at the “Rascasse” restaurant. Wealthy race attendees often view the spectacle from the decks of their multi-million dollar motor yachts moored in the harbour. This pin is fast and fun to play! Features including drop targets that activate the extra ball and replay lights, spinners that elevate the bonus, kick out saucers that let the player collect and rebuild the bonus. Three aspects that make this a player’s favorite. Did I mention those spinners really rip! Machine is in full working order. All lights, bells and mechanicals work as they should. Playfield is as expected for a 46 year old Pinball Machine. Pinball Machine is in South Florida. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Arcade, Jukeboxes & Pinball\Pinball\Machines”.
