The USA built Retro-Ball 24 is a tabletop pinball cabinet optimized to play the older style electro-mechanical pinball tables. However, do not let the small size fool you, this system can play almost any VPX games. This system features a custom designed and built cabinet aimed at pleasing a more discerning crowd that appreciates a stylish design that can blend in into a sophisticated, tasteful setting. The dual trapezoidal shaped back box is a nod to the older style Gottlieb Wedge-Head design that was popular in the 1960’s and 1970’s, strongly accented with a’Streamline Moderne’ design. Every feature has been carefully thought out, from the custom made knobs to the beehive cover on the ball shooter. The ducted fan design pulls air from the bottom and out of the back box, making this machine incredibly quiet when not in use. The 4-core AMD Ryzen 5 processor runs at less than 45 Watts yet is powerful enough to run most VPX tables without problems. Most important, the Retro-Ball 24 offers excellent styling and quality at a very affordable price and is proudly made here in the USA. For the last 5 years I have been on a hiatus. Two Sound Exciters (Dayton DAEX25Q-4) mounted to the cabinets sides that allow you to feel the action. 35Wx2+70W subwoofer 2.1 class D Hi-Fi audio amplifier. Custom designed and manufactured mini legs with rubber feet allow the table to be nudged for authentic play. 6.5″ Bass speaker with two 2″ Hi-Fi full range Boston Acoustics speakers (new, old stock). Intense Arcade’s Bang! Board running Pinscape software allows X, Y accelerometer for ball nudge/tilt control and a real analog ball plunger. This board is again, made in USA. Recessed Audio control panel (Vol, Bass, Treb w/USB port and audio power switch). Back Box louvered cooling vents for appearance and lower noise. Complete cabinet made from ½ plywood using rabbet and miter joints throughout, all American made! Fully configured PinballY controlling VPX and VP9.
