Williams Black Knight Pinball Machine Full Restoration with NEW Playfield & Backglass. For sale is a fully restored Black Knight pinball machine completed about 8 years ago for a friend of mine that he has decided to pass along. The base game was a very clean original machine that had seen very little use. The cabinet was not damaged, drilled, or faded and aside from a few minor scratches and a little touch up it was not even close to needing a repaint. Coin door is a complete original and not dented. New levelers and leg bolt installed. Original chrome legs were cleaned, waxed and polished. The playfield was replaced with a NEW CPR clearcoated playfield. Technically a second, the playfield has some tan paint on the surface in the ball shooter lane, see pics, hardly noticeable unless pointed out, and does not affect function. All hardware for the playfield topside was cleaned and polished before being reassembled. All flippers were rebuilt with new links and EOS switches. Both ball troughs in the upper playfield and under the apron were updated with the Williams retrofit kit incorporating mirco switches instead of the original flaky leaf switches for reliability. Upper kickout has the retrofit metal plate plastic protector since these tended to break the plastic when the ball kicked out. While he wanted originality for the lighting, LED’s were installed only the blues and green inserts, while most everything else is standard. From the factory they deleted the GI bulb in the center yellow plastic in the upper playfield between the 2 flippers and ramps. This was added back in and wired properly as part of the project. New pop cap, drop target decals and custom apron cards. The boardset was completely gone over and everything needed was upgraded. The CPU/Driver interconnect was replaced. The power supply and sound boards were recapped. A new battery holder was installed but I installed NVRAM a few years ago to get the batteries off the board. All of the displays are in great shape, with no burn. At least one, possibly 2 were replaced with new glass. Finally, as a standard on all my games, I reflow connectors, check/replace burnt or loose pins with new Molex connectors and Trifurcon pins, and check/replace all fuses with the proper size.
