Apollo 13 Pinball Machine, LED/Rubber upgraded 13 Ball Multiball
Apollo 13 Pinball Machine, LED/Rubber upgraded – 13 Ball Multiball. This is the 13-Ball Multiball machine that still holds the record for the most ever used in a pinball machine. The mechanism works flawlessly although I must admit it is more of a gimmick more than anything else! Everything works as designed. Rocket and Moon animations work without issues. Flippers are strong, Magnet grabs as designed. Cabinet is in decent condition with minimal wear which is so prevalent on titles this old. I cannot say it has always been HUO, but it certainly does not look like it has ever been in circulation. The game does have the following changes from stock. Alternate Translite (I never cared for the standard “Head Version”). Complete LED conversion. SideBlades (Art decals on the inside walls). ColorDMD (Color display replaced the original orange display). Four fixed GI Stadium lights. I installed four fixed GI Stadium Lights because I found the original design by SEGA was more like a strobe effect and it made it very hard to see the pinball in motion during certain times in gameplay. Since the entire GI playfield flashed, I installed separate stadium lights that lit up the lower playfield, the Rocket and the Moon to give a soother look IMO. The lights are fuse protected and the fuse can simply be removed if the lights are not wanted. I upgraded the display to a ColorDMD (LED version), but I do still have the original SEGA display (orange) if you would like to have that instead. I recently did a complete rubber/post changeout. Also included is a copy of the owners manual with schematics. The only piece that I never got around to changing was the cover for the display/speaker panel (see last photo). Someone drove a screw into the lower right corner to keep it from coming apart and the decal separated in that corner. I never came across a replacement but have had one on order for months (not sure if it will ever arrive at this point). Not bad at all, but wanted to make sure you are aware of it. I will help in any way I can. I reserve the right to withdraw/cancel this ad at any time for I do have the item for sale locally as well. Please ask any questions you may have.
