Bally Eight Ball The Fonz Pinball Machine, Excellent working condition

Classic Bally Eight Ball Pinball Machine in excellent working condition. This is one of Bally’s most collectible pinball machines, Eight Ball featuring the Fonz on the pinball backglass and a classic game of pool as the theme. This is a very fun pinball machine to play. Sink your 7 balls through slots and targets to light the 8-ball, then sink the 8-ball for some serious bonus points. The left spinner makes the mechanical chimes come to life with the sweet sound of points, sending the ball to the top to try your luck with balls 1-4. There is a bottom left breakshot lane which saves the ball from leaving the playfield (when lit), and also right lane bonus multipliers, Extra Ball and Specials. The game plays very well. The bumpers and flippers are remarkably strong and makes the game challenging and fun to play. One of the computer boards was upgraded to a Stern board and the battery on the MPU board was upgraded to prevent the leak issues that the original batteries are infamous for. The backglass is in excellent condition. The previous owner did some careful touch-ups on the playfield and cabinet, the white around the bonus ball lights 9-15 and around the “Same player shoots again” light near the flippers. The head cabinet frame around the backglass was repainted white, looks like a decent job. On the rear side of the cabinet, some repair work was done (see next to last picture). The machine sits perfectly solid. All of the artwork on the front and sides looks great. Eight Ball has a unique design from the era when pinball machines were transitioning from electromechanical to computer based. This machine plays mechanical chimes that are computer-triggered, rare to see on any machine new or old. The sounds from this pinball machine will take you back to that arcade in 1977.
