I saw what this restoration took to complete over this past winter, and I can tell you many, many hours were involved. The attention to detail and quality was amazing. You could not have one restored for this price. Hardtop installed (overlay over the original playfield). Comet 2SMD cool white LEDs bulbs in backbox and GI (General Illumination). Comet 2SMD color matched in all inserts. Pin-tech LED displays with red/and or amber filters (so the score can illuminate in orange or red if you want). Cabinet sanded down and repainted. Pinball Pimp stencil kit used for stenciling (for the repainting, to match all the original details). New chrome legs with new leg levelers. New playfield plastic screws and stainless acorn nuts. CPR reproduction non-mirrored backglass (brand new crisp backglass). CPR reproduction plastics set. All new flippers bats. All three flippers rebuilt. All new coil sleeves. New pop bumper white bodies and red skirts. Weebly MPU board (This is the brains of the Flash Gordon, replaced with 21st century electronics). All new locking header pins on boards (to make it bulletproof during play, eliminate 38yr old plastic that are brittle). New Titan translucent rubbers. Sound board rebuilt by Allan at Ardvark (100% inspected and all old parts replaced with new by a respected technician in the field of repair). Coin door disassembled, cleaned and reinstalled with new coin door decal. New correct shooter rod and springs. New flipper buttons and flipper switches. Installed on all out lanes and shooter lane (again to upgrade to newer switches than 38yr old parts). Titan Lockdown receiver decal. Power plate removed, cleaned, repainted and reinstalled. New Tilt assembly mounting board. Cabinet wiring organized better 100% inspected for cracks, brittle wires etc. New black Reese Rails installed. Shooter lane 2Pac cleared. New clear (not opaque) play field inserts. New star-rollover inserts and “stars”. New hot stamped drop down targets. Drop down assemblies removed, cleaned, reinstalled and adjusted (For 100% reliability during game play). Saucer assembly removed, cleaned and reinstalled. All switches cleaned and adjusted. All switches have new diodes installed (Bulletproof the game). Many parts tumbled to freshen up. New back box board connectors re-pinned (Bulletproof the game). New coin door and back box locks. New strobe bulb installed and works properly (For center of back board, to Flash Gordon). Powder coated rails and lock down bar. Placed a couple of wire jumpers on back of the light board, auxiliary light board, and Talk & Squawk circuit boards. These were placed to eliminate a bad trace line on the circuit boards themselves. There is one small (owner induced) blemish on Hardtop 6 above right lower flipper (see picture). Total accident but fixed up to blend into the play field. Very small and hard to notice.
