Student Prince Williams Pinball Machine Needs Tune UP & some artwork
I worked for a vending company in the 70’s and took this machine out of service circa 1975 and it was kept in my home until 1995 when I moved and I put it into storage. I just pulled it out a couple of weeks ago from a utility shed where it has been stored in a covered, floored dry environment. Everything is in tact, play-field is not marred and it’s going to need all new rubbers, a tune up and also some of the artwork was wiped off the back glass when I sprayed some devilish contact cleaner that miss-fired and caught some of the glass artwork from behind. The original play-field glass has been stored on top of it protecting the playing field and the artwork glass is original but has some issues with the contact cleaner damage. The part that was peeled off the artwork glass looks easy to repair because it made a couple of openings where the solid paint is. None of the main artist areas are damaged but you can see part of the head board through it (see the photos). Now all I can guarantee about this machine is that it was working well when I moved time before last and stuffed it in storage. I may have a couple of more jukebox consoles but I will list them later. Everything is original on the machine and no “hot wiring” or installing solid state parts to replace the old-stuff, this whole machine from the slats on the top of the head to the standard pinball legs with the adjustment pads is all genuine material. There’s nothing missing from what rolled off the factory and there’s nothing been added either. If you can follow a wiring diagram, it’s all cleaning contacts and adjusting relays and no rocket science. Now for anyone who contacts me (as have before) asking about can they take this home and get right to playing this pinball, I will say yes you can play it but you are going to have to install new rubber bumpers, have someone go through, clean and adjust all the contacts, lube the solenoids, flippers and do a full run through. I don’t sell these for a living or operate at any underhanded shady type operation, and this will be a jewel of a deal for someone who likes these old school machines from the last 60′ through 70’s.
